Motorcyclist dies horror bike crash at Pierces Creek, north of Toowoomba

A rescue chopper had been called in, but the rider died at the scene on a remote road north of Toowoomba.

A motorcyclist has died after he crashed at Pieces Creek, north of Crows Nest.

According to the initial reports from the Queensland Ambulance Service, the 22-year-old Toogoolawah man came off his bike on Pierces Creek Road, near the intersections with White Road and Boulder Road, shortly before 12pm on Saturday.

He suffered multiple critical injuries and could not be saved.

He was the sole causality.

A rescue helicopter was called in, but no one was transported to hospital.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

The Queensland Police Service Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police.
