Williams was given a two-year suspended jail sentence in November 2021, after pleading guilty to using electronic communication to procure a child under 16 and the indecent treatment of a child under 16.

“He will still be on his District Court probation order and it is paramount to my submissions for his breach offences that he has already spent 74 days in Maryborough prison,” Mr Werner said on Thursday.

“He lives with his parents and now has a very quiet life.

“He suffers from depression, he has a brain injury, a learning disability and is illiterate.”

The court heard Williams’ criminal history mostly consists of domestic violence offences.

Magistrate Andrew Sinclair sentenced Williams to be convicted and not further punished.

He was fined $500.

Convictions were recorded.
