The search for a missing South Burnett man has ended in tragedy after the 67-year-old was found dead on Monday.

An extensive land search was launched to find Lee Barker after he disappeared from a Kent Street address in Kingaroy last Thursday, June 23.

His silver 2011 Hyundai i45 sedan was found abandoned later that day near a cornfield on Logan Road in Wooroolin.

Mr Barker reportedly suffered from a medical condition that can cause disorientation and lack of awareness.

A Queensland Police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
