A Kingaroy Smart Services employee, who was caught on CCTV stashing liquor in her pants and trolley, faced the Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Rashunda Nikeeta Murray, 22, pleaded guilty to one charge of stealing.

Police prosecutor Lisa Manns said on March 3, 2023 Murray entered Super Cellars Kingaroy at 1.30pm.

“She selected two bottles of rum and placed one in her pants, under a hooded jumper and the other inside a Woolworths bag inside her trolley,” Sergeant Manns said.

Murray proceeded past the checkout with no intention to pay, the court heard.

Police received the CCTV later that week and Murray was provided with a notice to appear.

“She appeared embarrassed and remorseful and told police she would not be doing that again,” Sergeant Manns said.
