Police are appealing for help to find the culprits behind a series of unsolved scary crimes at Murgon in the past fortnight.

It comes after a woman was confronted at her home on Hanley Lane by two offenders who smashed a louvre window with a rock and threatened her for car keys and money.

According to the Queensland Police Service, the woman “screamed” and called 000, causing the offenders to flee about 8pm on Thursday, August 15.

That same week, on Tuesday, August 13, at about 12.30am, offenders broke into a residence on Stephens Street, again by smashing a window with a rock.

After stealing a handbag, they attempted to steal a vehicle but were stopped by the occupants of the home and fled in an unknown direction.

The day before, Monday, August 12, a business on Gore Street was targeted about 11.45am.

The offenders allegedly used an unknown implement to pry open a roller door inside the premises, gaining access to a canteen area from which they stole a quantity of drinks and snacks.

The first incident took place on the evening of Thursday, August 8, when several vehicles parked on Macalister Street were targeted.

Offenders allegedly stole an iPhone from one vehicle and money from another before fleeing the area.

Later that night, at about 10.40pm, unknown individuals attempted to break into a residence on Houghton Street by checking several windows.

However, they were deterred by neighbours and fled on foot.

Not long after, at about 11.30pm, offenders gained entry to a workroom and a shed at a residence on Lamb Street before leaving the scene in an unknown direction.

Anyone with information is urged to phone police.
