A baby-faced accused drug dealer has returned to court on a new charge that his lawyer claimed was due to him “oversleeping”.

Keaton Griffith Coleman, 19, is currently facing 105 drug-related charges, including 92 counts of supplying drugs, supplying dangerous drugs to a minor, and one trafficking charge.

Coleman, who is understood to have graduated from high school in 2020, face Kingaroy Magistrates Court on June 9 on a fresh charge of breaching bail.

Police told the court Coleman was required to report to police every Monday and Friday between 8am and 4pm.

Coleman failed to report to the Kingaroy Station before 4pm on May 16, instead arriving at 4.50pm and subsequently being charged.

Lawyer Jay Rose told the court the 19-year-old works at the peanut company and had been on night work at the time.

She said he simply overslept, and missed the reporting period by just 50 minutes.

She also noted the teen had been on bail for more than 40 weeks and had not breach his conditions before the May 16 incident.

Magistrate Andrew Sinclair agreed it was a simple error.

“I honestly don’t know why you’re charged,” he said.

Coleman pleaded guilty to breaching bail and was convicted and not further punished.

No conviction was recorded.

His other matters are next listed to be heard on July 7.
