Woman, 60s, critically injured following serious mountain bike crash on Brisbane Valley Rail Trail

An elderly woman has been flown to Brisbane after she crashed her mountain bike on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail near Moore.

A person is in a critical condition following a serious mountain bike incident on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.

Emergency services were called to the incident in Moore at 10.19am on Thursday.

Paramedics, including critical care, and a rescue helicopter treated the woman, in her 60s, for critical head injuries.

A QAS spokeswoman confirmed the woman had fallen from her pushbike.

She was flown in a critical condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
