Motorbike crash at Manar Park leaves teen boy with spinal injuries

A teenager has been flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with spinal injuries following a motorcycle crash.

A teenage boy has been flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with spinal injuries following a motorcycle crash at the Manar Supercross track on Sunday morning.

The incident happened about 11am.

This is not the first serious accident at the recreational park. In May, three motorbike riders, including two young men and a teenage boy with a significant leg injury, were flown to the hospital after separate accidents.

In March, six people, including at least three children, were injured in five separate incidents at the park, with one suffering serious stomach injuries. All but one of the injured were flown to hospital.

The Manar Park track, situated between the Wigton State Forest and Beeron National Park, is a popular destination for motorbike enthusiasts.

According to the park’s website, the have beginner, intermediate and advanced tracks which caters to riders of all ages and skill levels.
