Former Kingaroy girl, Asha Cooper, announced as a Qld state finalist for Miss Universe Australia

A content creator, small business owner, model and former Kingaroy State High School vice-captain has been announced as one of Queensland’s Finalists for the Miss Universe Australia competition.
Asha Cooper, a psychology student living on the Sunshine Coast, posted the announcement on her social media accounts on Thursday, February 6.
“Excited to share that I am a Miss Universe Australia State Finalist!” she said.
“Little Asha … grew up over 1,000km from Brisbane.
“She knew she was meant for more – but never felt like she belonged.”
“For those who never felt they belonged – there is always space for you and your story.”

Ms Cooper grew up in the remote Queensland community of Quilpie before moving to the South Burnett and finishing her high school years here.
Not all state finalists have been announced, however 130 women from around the country will compete to become Miss Universe Australia and represent the nation on the world stage.
The Queensland state finals will be held on March 26, 2025.
The Miss Universe pageant will be held on November 21 at the Impact Muong Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
