Family evacuated from South Nanango house fire

Members of a South Nanango family were able to flee their burning home without injury on Wednesday night after a blaze broke out in the kitchen.

Emergency fire crews responded to a late-night house fire in South Nanango on Wednesday.

Fire, ambulance and police crews arrived to the Izzard Road home at around 11.15pm.

A spokesperson for Queensland fire emergencies said crews had contained the fire by about 12.10am.

South Burnett woman hospitalised after horse attack

The fire was contained to the kitchen and living area of the home, and the bedrooms were smoke affected.

A Queensland ambulance spokesperson said no injuries were reported, and all household members were out of the house and accounted for.

Community search for Proston man Luke Fergusson suspended

Police said there was no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident and no need for establishment of a crime scene or further investigation.

“It was just a terrible accident,” they said.
