A community search for the 28-year-old missing Proston man has been officially called off, 32 days since he was last seen.
Luke Fergusson was last seen at the family’s Abbeywood Rd home at Proston around midday on Friday, June 9, 2023.
A massive search party, consisting of 20 landholders, 40 Australian Defence Force Personnel, 24 SES volunteers and multiple police officers have already searched hundreds of square kilometres, were involved in the initial search.
Police divers also scoured waterways and dams.
The community search leader, who wishes to remain anonymous, announced on Tuesday morning that it would be suspended until further notice.
The wider Burnett community has rallied behind his mother Susanne Bedey.
Ms Bedey described her son, who has autism, as more like an “eight-year-old child”, who was likely afraid and confused.
