17-year-old Roma boy faces Roma Childrens Court for 11 offences

A 17-year-old Roma youth who racked up 11 charges over a two-day crime spree has appeared in court. Here’s all the details.

Dysart Police are investigating a stealing from motor vehicle incident.

A Roma teenager has been remanded in custody after allegedly committing a string of criminal and traffic offences over two days.

On September 12 and 13 numerous residents reported the offending to police, which included the youth allegedly sneaking onto a property and using a alleged stolen car to steal a motorbike from the back of another vehicle at the residence.

Following a police investigation the boy was located and charged.

Roma Police Station officer-in-charge Duane Frank confirmed a 17-year-old Roma boy has been remanded in custody after he was charged with 11 offences.

The teenager has been charged with breaching bail, stealing, trespassing, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and unlawful use of a motor vehicle in relation to the theft of a motor bike from a residential premises.

He has appeared in Roma Childrens Court and been remanded in custody.

He will reappear in the Roma Childrens Court on October 25, 2023.
