AS RESTRICTIONS on businesses are eased during the coronavirus pandemic, Lifeline has announced it will reopen two of its southwest op shops.

While they will not go back to regular trading straight away, the charity’s outlets in Charleville and St George will open their doors three days a week, to meet demand for winter clothing from customers.

Only select outlets will reopen while the pandemic is ongoing, and stringent hygiene practices will remain in place, Lifeline Darling Downs CEO Derek Tuffield said.

“We have made the decision to slowly re-open some of our stores which will assist people who require winter clothing and other essentials,” he said.

“All our stores will have hand sanitiser available and customers will have to adhere to current social distancing rules.”

Lifeline St George and Lifeline Charleville will open from 10am-3pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
