Woman in hospital after being struck by vehicle at Rockhampton shopping centre

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was struck by a vehicle at a busy Rockhampton shopping centre.

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was struck by a vehicle at a busy Rockhampton shopping centre on Saturday.

Paramedics were called to Stockland Rockhampton Shopping Centre, Park Avenue, just before noon, where the female pedestrian was injured in the incident.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the woman in her 40s sustained back and arm injuries and she was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.

There were initial reports the vehicle involved had left the scene.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the incident was not being investigated by police.
