Australian voters might be deciding who will represent them at the federal level this May 3, but many would argue there is a question equally important that arises every election.
It is the question of whether a good democracy sausage should have onions or not?
For democracy sausage-lovers, we have compiled a list of polling booths where they can enjoy the election day treat below.

In the Rockhampton area, there will be four democracy sausage stations attached to voting centres.
The Gracemere Community Hall (6-12 Barry St, Gracemere), Emu Park State School (26 Fountain St, Emu Park), polling stations will both have democracy sausages available.
Meanwhile voters who choose to cast their ballot at the North Rockhampton High School (302-328 Berserker St, Frenchville) will have a choice of a democracy sausage, a cake stall and coffee.
North of Rockhampton, The Caves State School (1 Barmoya Rd, The Caves) polling station will also have democracy sausages and a cake stall available for hungry or weary voters.
Further afield, Dysart State School (4 Garnham Dr, Dysart) and Springsure State School (55 Eclipse St, Springsure) will both be serving democracy sausages.
