Emergency services have raced to the scene after a man driving a Mitsubishi Triton went down an embankment in Gracemere overnight.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the driver had left the road.
Investigations into the circumstances around the incident are ongoing.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said two crews attended the incident on the Capricorn Highway at 8pm on Tuesday.
The man was out of the vehicle upon arrival.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics attended the accident at 7.44pm.
The man was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition with back pain.
