A man suffering potentially serious facial injuries has been taken to Rockhampton Hospital after a traffic accident in Yeppoon on Thursday morning.

A man suffering potentially serious facial injuries has been taken to Rockhampton Hospital by ambulance after a traffic accident in Yeppoon on Thursday morning.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesperson said the initial report about 10.15am indicated the victim, aged in his 30s, had been hit by a vehicle on Misfield St.
However Queensland Police Service officers later said he might have fallen off a scooter further down the street.
He was treated at the scene by QAS paramedics and taken to hospital by ambulance with lights and sirens on due to the nature of the injury.
