Contestants bring their best mullets for Rockynats

Mullets are back, with contestants showing off their hairstyles at this year’s Rockynats, including one man who brought the competition to a whole new level.

Rockynats may be about cars but one contestant stole the show at the popular niche event, the Mulletfest, this year.

The event was a chance for mullet lovers to show off their pride and joy.

However, one contestant in the competition, Jason Marsh, didn’t actually have a mullet before the contest began.

Mr Marsh instead allowed Mulletfest founder Laura Johnson to cut his hair on stage, with the removed hair being donated to Variety - the Children’s Charity.

Mr Marsh said he hadn’t had short hair at the front for “years”.

“It feels free,” he said.

All Mulletfest heat winners get entry to the Mulletfest grand final at Hebburn Motorsport Park in the Hunter Valley, NSW, this December.
