Tamara Creamer was on song for the Yeppoon Swans in their thumping Round 6 win in the AFL Capricornia senior women’s competition.

She landed seven majors in her team’s 110-point win over the Gladstone Suns at Swan Park on Saturday - and she did it in just three quarters.

Creamer played the first quarter at fullback before coach Mark Wallin moved her into an attacking role due to the absence of two of the team’s key forwards.

“I had to find a forward and I knew Tamara had played there before… and she kicked seven,” he said.

“She’s very knowledgeable, she understands the game better than most girls out there and she’s got good skills and great strength.”

The Swans are sitting second behind the resurgent Brothers Kangaroos, last year’s cellar dwellers who remain unbeaten this season.

They beat the Swans by 23 points in Round 3 but Wallin is keen for the rematch in Round 9 on June 21.

“Brothers are going extremely well. They’re another young, fast and fit side,” Wallin said.

“They were good against us last time but we’re looking forward to playing them again.”

Wallin said the Swans were building into the season well.

Co-captains Katelyn Lynch and Kristal Williamson had started strongly, with the team able to build off their powerhouse performances in the middle.

“We didn’t have the pre-season we normally have so we’re just starting to hit our straps now,” Wallin said.

“We’re getting numbers back and we’re improving every week.”

Meanwhile, the Yeppoon men continue their seemingly unstoppable march towards an historic 11th straight flag.

They booted 23 goals in their 122-point win over the Gladstone Suns.

The champion outfit blew the game apart with 56 unanswered points in the third quarter.

Skipper Matt Wallin, Mitch McMullan and Chase Smaluch each bagged five goals.
