Wildhorse property’s $9m sale an acreage benchmark

ROLLESTON’S Wildhorse property has set an acreage benchmark for Central Queensland.

ROLLESTON'S Wildhorse property has set an acreage benchmark for Central Queensland.

After recently being auctioned off for $9million, the grazing property 30km south of Rolleston is setting the trend for larger scale properties in the area.

According to the Herron Todd White monthly review for May, the sale equated to around $1968 per hectare ($796 per acre) which was considered a strong rate for a property this scale.

A well-known property in the Banana district is also believed to have been sold for around the $10million mark. The HTW review indicated the sale had largely been conducted under the radar, with details about the sale not yet officially confirmed.

The review also suggested that the rural market across CQ has continued to remain steady in the recent months and that there had been a number of rural property sales of varying scale since the beginning of the year which had shown an uplift in the market compared to a year ago.
