LOCATION, location, location is what made this Yeppoon property sell under the hammer for $1 million.
Last month the Todd Ave beachside home was quickly snavelled up by a local family at auction with $1 million being the highest bid.
Ray White Rockhampton sales consultant Barbara Harris said once the bidding started it was a quick race to the top.
"We had a lot of interest in the property before the auction with about 27 groups through the open house and 30 people through at the auction," she said.
"We had six registered bidders which are good figures because normally you only have one or two serious bidders. Once the first figure was bid on it was all up from there.
"We started at a reasonable figure and it jumped up pretty quickly.
"The auction was over in about half an hour with the house being passed in then later purchased under auction conditions a few days later by the highest bidder."
Barbara said the buyers were very serious about buying the four-bedroom home even before the auction.
"We had an offer prior to the auction and the person ended up being the highest bidder and new owner," she said.
"This particular family were looking for this style of property for a while.
"It's very unique to wake up every morning and see the ocean and that was a big selling point for the house as the buyer was really chasing that sea breeze lifestyle."
