A young mother of two was busted with methamphetamine and cannabis when a vehicle she was a passenger in came to the attention of police on a busy North Rockhampton street earlier this month.
Ieshah Leoni Masso, 23, pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on September 22 to two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
The court heard that Masso was one of four people in a vehicle stopped by police on Queen Elizabeth Drive about 1.15am on September 2.
Police searched the vehicle which Masso exited holding a bag.
In that bag, police found a clip-seal bag containing 5g of cannabis and another with 0.1g of methamphetamine in it.
The court heard that Masso had no criminal history.
Masso’s solicitor Rebecca Winning said Masso was an unemployed mother of two young children who received a parenting payment.
“She has indicated she would like some assistance in relation to her drug use,” Ms Winning said.
Magistrate Cameron Press ordered Masso to drug diversion and placed her on a 12-month good behaviour order with a $800 recognisance.
No conviction was recorded.
