A Biloela cook was busted with drugs on two separate occasions - the latest last month after police were called to a “large” street disturbance in the town.

Tewi Seth Ross, 25, pleaded guilty in Biloela Magistrates Court on September 15 to two counts of cannabis possession.

The court heard that Ross was first caught with the drug on June 6.

About 2.09am on that day, police detained him for a breach of the peace in Callide Street, outside Biloela Hotel.

Officers asked him whether he had anything that might cause harm or injury and Ross put his hand in his pocket and pulled out his phone, before tossing a clip-seal bag containing a small amount of cannabis on the ground.

Ross was too intoxicated to be interviewed at the time.

Then on August 24, about 12.05am, police were called to a residence at Biloela in relation to a “large” disturbance.

Ross was seen further down the street and police approached him.

He walked onto a footpath and attempted to throw a clip-seal bag behind a bush.

Police recovered the bag which contained a small amount of cannabis.

The court heard that Ross had previous drug offending on his history.

Ross’s solicitor said Ross was a cook at a local establishment and his drug use was recreational.

Magistrate Philippa Beckinsale fined Ross $800.

No conviction was recorded.
