Truck crash blocks the Bruce Highway at the Burnett Highway intersection

A man is in hospital after a truck collided with another vehicle on the Bruce Highway south of Rockhampton. UPDATES.

A man is in hospital after a truck collided with another vehicle on the Bruce Highway, south of Rockhampton.

Emergency services responded to the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of the Burnett Highway at 8.28am on Friday.

It is understood the truck collided with a vehicle towing a trailer.

A spokesman for the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said there was some oil on the road that crews would clean up.

The northbound lane to Rockhampton was closed and police had diversions in place.

A spokesman for the Queensland Police Service said the highway reopened to traffic at 11.15am.

A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said paramedics assessed three patients at the scene but that there didn’t appear to be any injuries.

A man in his 40s was transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
