Truck and caravan crash closes Capricorn Highway at Dingo

Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash on the Capricorn Highway west of Rockhampton.

Two people have been taken to hospital and traffic diversions are in place following a crash on a major Central Queensland highway.

Emergency crews were called to the two-vehicle crash between a caravan and a truck about 9am.

Queensland Ambulance Service treated two people on scene who were both in stable conditions.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Police Service said officers were on scene doing traffic control and there were road closures in place as the vehicles were removed from the scene.

She said diversions were in place, however motorists were advised to avoid the area if possible.

One person was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition and the other was taken to Blackwater Hospital in a stable condition.
