The driver of a b-double truck was trapped after in the cabin in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday near Rolleston.
About 11.45am, emergency services were called to the Carnarvon Hwy at Consuelo, about 30km south of Rolleston in the Central Highlands, where the truck had come off the highway and gone down an embankment.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said as of 1pm, one QFES crew remained on scene and was working out a plan to free the driver, who was encapsulated.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man assessed on scene for serious injuries.
RACQ Cap Rescue was called in for assistance and treated the man in his 50s for suspected chest and lower limb injuries.
He was stabilised and taken to Rockhampton Hospital.
