Police charge five boys with stealing vehicle in Biloela

Police have charged five boys, one as young as 13, with allegedly stealing a white Nissan Navara in Central Qld.

Police have charged five boys, one as young as 13, with allegedly stealing a white Nissan Navara from Biloela, 1 hour and 45 minutes south of Rockhampton, on Monday night.

They allege about 9pm the vehicle was stolen from Bell Street and about 8am the following day, September 3, five youths were witnessed abandoning the Nissan on the Leichhardt Highway.

A 17-year-old Kawana boy was charged with one count each of possession of a knife in a public place, obstructing police and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 13-year-old Biloela boy was charged with one count each of possession of a knife in a public place, obstructing police and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Two 14-year-old boys, both from Woorabinda, have been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and obstruct police.

A 14-year-old Biloela boy has been dealt with under the Youth Justice Act for one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Four boys will appear in the Biloela Children’s Court and one will appear in the Rockhampton’s Children’s Court on Wednesday, September 4.

Police allege the boys have been involved in further break and enter offences in Biloela, which officers are investigating.
