A young man convicted twice of producing dangerous drugs has walked out of court following his latest sentencing.

Hayden Scott Miles Weick, 24, committed the latest series of offences, which include seven counts of supplying a dangerous drug, while he was on probation for producing marijuana.

Rockhampton District Court heard police raided Weick’s residence on July 14, 2022.

Weick declared he had “some marijuana” in the second drawer of a toolbox in the garage.

However, police also located a mobile phone containing messages regarding the street level drug supplies of seven grams or less between April 21, 2022 and July 3, 2022.

They also found two pots containing eight marijuana seedlings.

This was a year after his latest production period.

Weick was sentenced in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on July 12, 2021, for producing marijuana where he was found with a 10-centimetre-tall plant and 14 grams of marijuana, plus lighting and other items used to grow the drug.

The court heard Weick had since obtained a prescription for medicinal marijuana, had been working at a supermarket and obtained many certificates in hospitality, retail and mining.

He pleaded guilty to one count of producing a dangerous drug, seven counts of supplying a dangerous drug, one of possessing anything used in a crime and one of possessing a dangerous drug.

Weick was placed on another probation order – this time for 18 months – and convictions were recorded.
