A man has faced court after he allegedly made threats to shoot and kill at a Rockhampton hotel at the weekend.
Hassan Baker, 50, applied for bail in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on November 21.
Mr Baker was charged with one count each of committing public nuisance, threats and wilful damage, which related to an alleged incident at the Empire Apartment Hotel on East Street, Rockhampton City, on November 19 at 9.25am.
According to court documents, police allege Mr Baker made threats to shoot and kill.
Mr Baker is also charged with two counts each of stealing and possessing dangerous drugs, and one count of possessing utensils or pipes for use.
Police prosecutor Clancy Fox opposed bail for Mr Baker.
Defence lawyer Samantha Legrady said her client would plead guilty to the committing public nuisance, threats and wilful damage charges and argued it was possible he may not serve any actual time in custody.
Ms Legrady said if granted bail, her client could live at an address in Morayfield, report to Caboolture Police Station five days a week and not go to Rockhampton.
Acting Magistrate Gary Finger refused to grant Mr Baker bail.
Mr Baker was remanded in custody and his matters were adjourned to Caboolture Magistrates Court on November 24.
