Emergency services have responded to multiple blazes in the same street at Gracemere near Rockhampton after reports a number of abandoned houses were alight.
Emergency services responded to reports of the structure fires along Holland Street just before 1pm on Wednesday.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said four crews attended the scene and two structures were “well involved” in fire.
“One of those has collapsed,” she said.
The spokeswoman said crews had the fires under control at 2pm and were working on dampening down hotspots.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said officers were also advised a number of abandoned houses were on fire along Holland Street.
“There is no one inside,” she said.
The spokeswoman said smoke was not impacting the Capricorn Highway at this stage.
The fires follow two others in Central Queensland on Boxing Day, including a blaze at Woorabinda where a man was found dead in the home.
Police are also investigating a fire at a house on Duncan Street, Wandal, on Tuesday.
