Police investigate Woorabinda house fire after man found dead

Police have launched an investigation into a house fire at Woorabinda on Boxing Day after a man was found dead in the home.

Police have launched an investigation into a house fire at Woorabinda on Boxing Day after a man was found dead in the home.

Emergency services rushed to the Munns Drive home at 12pm on Tuesday, December 26, and the blaze was extinguished.

Queensland Police Service said the property in the town about two hours west of Rockhampton became engulfed in flames about midday.

Tragically, a man was found dead inside the house.

Police said forensic testing is underway and a crime scene has been declared.
