Multiple car crashes have been reported in Central Queensland overnight and early Thursday morning, including a man in his 70s who was struck by a car in North Rockhampton.
Queensland Ambulance Service was called to reports of a vehicle and pedestrian incident on Farm and Hempenstall streets, Kawana, on Thursday at 5.48am.
According to QAS, a man in 70s had suffered facial, chest and leg injuries in the incident.
He was transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police were called to the incident by QAS at 6.08am.
The spokesman described the incident as minor and said it looked as if the man was “just clipped by the side mirror of the car”.
“Police are aware and will make further inquiries if needed,” he said.
Earlier on Thursday morning at Moura, QAS was called to reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a tree on the Dawson Highway at 4.50am.
A man in his 30s was transported to Moura Hospital in a stable condition with neck, back and head injuries.
