Alleged thieves steal safe from business on Small Street, Emerald

CCTV footage has captured five men with their faces covered allegedly steal a safe from a Central Queensland business. VIDEO.

Police have released CCTV footage of five men who allegedly stole a safe from a Central Queensland business as they appeal for witnesses.

According to police, the alleged burglary occurred at a business on Small St in Emerald between 9pm on July 27 and 1am on July 28.

Police allege five men forced entry into the business and once inside, removed a large safe before fleeing.

The CCTV footage shows five men with their faces covered struggling to push the black safe on a yellow trolley out of the business.

At one point the men stop to catch their breath.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said police had not arrested anyone in relation to the incident.

Police are asking witnesses in the area at the time of the incident to contact local police.

Investigations are continuing.
