Opinion: I am dumbfounded how anyone would not question the IPCC science

The EU is the dumbest organisation in history except for the IPCC. Driven by ideology not common sense.

Spending money like a drunken sailor with never anything to show for it.

I challenge you – billions spent, but show me one thing achieved – lower CO2? No. Lower temp? No. Nothing, except the zealotry of the of the poorly educated, not very bright.

The triumph of the morons; ruled by the incompetent.

No one gives a damn about CO2 removal or reducing emissions.

As of December 2020, renewable production generated 40.2 per cent of total electricity produced in the UK but we are burning trees and counting that as renewable energy.

The IPCC and the Climate Change people very much dislike trees. The US is cutting-down and sending millions of them to Europe to burn for electrical generation.

Do not blame the UK, they were just fine with natural gas, but not the IPCC.

In the UK they have spent billions of pounds converting electric generation plants fuelled by natural gas and coal to biomass fuel — cutting down trees to burn wood for fuel under advice of the IPCC.

Their biomass-burning power plants in the UK actually produce more IR absorbing CO2 than fossil fuel plants — 65 per cent more CO2 per megawatt hour than modern coal plants and 285 per cent more CO2 than natural gas combined cycle plants which use both a gas and steam turbine together.

The flue gas from wood combustion contain greater particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, lead, mercury, and other hazardous compounds.

After treatment is more expensive and less efficient.

Natural gas exists in natural form, no processing, it burns clean, less CO2 combustion product, yet the IPCC endorses deforestation and burning carbon sinks.

In Europe wood burning, “Biomass Power” as it’s technically called, is counted and subsidised as zero-emissions renewable energy, by IPCC guidelines it is ”Green Renewable Energy”.

As a result, European utilities now import tons of wood from US forests every year — and Europe’s supposedly eco-friendly economy now generates more energy from burning wood than from wind and solar combined.

The UK Government pays into the Green Climate Fund to plant trees to fight climate change, and then they deforest to power electrical generation plants.

Climate change science, plant a few thousand trees, burn a few million.

In terms of green energy generated from biomass wood burning, the UK is the top wood pellet consumer, with 9 million metric tons last year, followed by Italy at 3.3 million metric tons and Denmark at 2.5 million metric tons.

In the latest data, the US was the top supplier of wood pellets to the EU in 2019 with 6.779 million metric tons, followed by Russia at 1.689 million metric tons and Canada at 1.624 million metric tons.

We must remember the UN and EU standards of zero-emissions renewable energy calculations are void of the greenhouse-gas emissions associated with harvesting, processing, transporting the pellets.

The wood burned as biomass fuel is harvested as green wood, predominantly from the US.

There is vast fossil-fuel use in cutting, debarking, drying, pelletising, shipping to export port, then transported by fossil-fuelled ships to European ports, then shipped to end users in the UK and Europe.

Mass-deforestation sanctioned by the IPCC in the name of “Carbon Neutral”.

Trees absorb carbon during photosynthesis, they are the most important component of terrestrial carbon sequestration of CO2, but the IPCC says burn them!

So just remember when they‘re all celebrating how “Green” their energy is that most of it comes from burning trees, and I am dumbfounded how anyone would not question the IPCC science!

ANON. The federal government is holding our older generation at ransom by not getting in millions of doses of Pfizer. It should be the person’s choice of what vaccine they want to put into their body. We could be the first country to be fully vaccinated but that won’t happen. The stupidity of our pollies will cost lives.
