Dongas on fire at Civeo Moranbah Village in Central Queensland
Four dongas were reported to be on fire at the worker’s camp in Central Queensland on Thursday afternoon but the emergency quickly fizzled out. Here’s what we know.

Dongas at Civeo’s Moranbah Village caught on fire on Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews attended the Acacia St facility around 3pm after reports were received of four dongas on fire.
All persons had been safely evacuated.
Upon fire crews arrival, no sign of fire could been seen and it is understood the reported smoke may have been due to an electrical fault.
The village has more than 1,200 ensuite rooms on site along with recreational facilities.
Workers receive three meals per day in the dining hall and there is also a convenience store on-site.
