A girl was flown to hospital after suffering a suspected irukandji sting in waters off a popular island in the Mackay region. The rescue chopper was also tasked to another job involving teenagers.

A teenage girl is in hospital with injuries from an irukandji sting in waters off a popular island in the Mackay region.
She is one of two teen girls flown to hospital after the rescue chopper was called to separate incidents on Saturday morning across the Central Queensland region.
RACQ CQ Rescue was first tasked to Cape Hillsborough where a 16-year-old girl suffered a lower leg injury.
Crewmen winched her to the chopper before flying her to Mackay Base Hospital where she was treated for a dislocated knee cap.
She was discharged earlier today.
The rescue chopper was then tasked to retrieve a young teen from Keswick Island where she suffered a suspected irukandji envenomation.
The 13-year-old was flow to hospital where she is currently in a stable condition.
