Police are seeking information about a break-in at a Mackay CBD store on December 21, 2022.

Mackay Police alleged that at 10.10pm on December 21, 2022, an unknown male broke into a business on Sydney Street via a side door.

Police claim cash was taken from the till.

Police recently obtained CCTV footage from the business and are seeking the public’s help in identifying the male depicted.

In the footage, a male wearing dark clothing, a cap and thongs can be seen creeping behind into a business, which appears to be a beauty salon, and shuffling through the store while trying to stay low and out of sight.

He then makes his way to the counter where two laptops sit above tills, and then walks away with an entire till under his arm.

Anyone who might have information are urged to contact police as soon as possible.
