Single vehicle crash on Bruce Highway as roads re-open in Mackay
A man has been lucky to escape uninjured after his car went off the Bruce Hwy at Mackay where authorities are warning drivers to take extra care on the still-wet roads now pitted with potholes.

A man has veered off the Bruce Highway near the Mackay Ring Road escaping unharmed as flood waters recede across Mackay roads.
Ambulance and Fire crew were called to a scene at 12.30pm today for a single vehicle crash.
The male driver was able to free himself from the vehicle.
The Queensland Fire Department said there was no indication of road works in the area though wet road conditions may have been a factor.
One lane reopened along the Bruce Highway near Lethebrook this morning after floods stopped traffic across the North Queensland coast yesterday with residents warned of potholes and water damaged roads.
Traffic control is underway, and commuters can expect delays between Proserpine and Mackay.
The Bruce Highway has been opened in all direction in Bowen.
Further north however, the Bruce Hwy remains cut at Townsville and the Burdekin is expecting its biggest flood in three decades.
