Rick Danger Summerfield in Mackay court charged over alleged River St boat ramp assault
The identity of a man accused of attacking a 12-year-old boy at a popular fishing hotspot has been revealed for the first time.

A Mackay man accused of attacking a 12-year-old at a popular fishing spot has fronted court for the first time.
Rick Danger Summerfield, 54, appeared in Mackay Magistrates Court accused of assault causing bodily harm for an alleged attack on a 12-year-old boy near the River St boat ramp on September 24.
Mr Summerfield is also accused of wilfully damaging fishing rods during the alleged assault.
Officers from the Mackay Child Protection and Investigation Unit arrested Mr Summerfield the following day — September 25.
He appeared in court represented by Legal Aid Queensland lawyer Tahnee Wilkinson.
Magistrate Damien Dwyer adjourned the case to Friday, October 18.
