Benholme, Blacks Beach men charged with alleged attack on Sarina man
Mackay police have arrested two men following the alleged assault of a Sarina fisherman that left him with serious injuries requiring treatment in a Townsville hospital.

Two men in their mid 20s have been arrested after allegedly attacking a Sarina man earlier in the week.
A 26-year-old Benholme man and a 26-year-old Blacks Beach man allegedly attacked a 30-year-old man on a fishing boat near Victoria St about 7.45pm on October 2.
During the incident the 30-year-old suffered serious head injuries, which resulted in him being flown to Townsville for treatment.
The next day, October 3, one of the alleged attackers was arrested in North Mackay and charged with grievous bodily harm, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and drug possession.
He was taken into custody and will appear in Mackay Magistrates Court on January 13, 2025.
Following further investigation by detectives from the Mackay Criminal Investigation branch, the Blacks Beach man was arrested on October 5 and charged with grievous bodily harm.
He will appear in Mackay Magistrates Court on October 8.
Police have asked anyone with further information of the events on October 2 to come forward.
