FOR the first open home at 14 Marzan St, more than 50 people flocked to the property to get a first-hand look at what has been described as 'one of the best' renovations in Mackay.
And agent Janet Williamson of Raine and Horne Mackay is hoping for a similar turn out on Saturday when the Rural View property is again open for inspection between 9.30-10am.
The owners of the property painstakingly transformed the low-set nondescript brick house to become their 'forever home' but after a recent change in circumstances decided to list it for sale for $449,000.
Ms Williamson said when she first stepped inside the home two weeks ago, she couldn't quite believe what she was seeing.
"It is an established home in an established, sought-after area. If you drove by out the front you wouldn't know was inside,” Ms Williamson said.
"But literally the entire house has been renovated, from floor to ceiling. The owners have done such a great job with the renovations. It is the best renovation I have ever seen.”
The agent said while every room in the four bedroom, two bathroom home is 'brilliant', it is the little details that stand out.
"Things like saloon doors into the pantry, the stone bench top with waterfall sides, the feature patters over glass doors which has been carried throughout the house and the built in ethanol fireplace... they have put their heart and soul into this home.”
