Maraju-Yakapari Rd closed following a single-vehicle rollover that left a car on its roof
A Mackay road was closed for close to an hour as emergency services responded to a single-vehicle rollover.

A single-vehicle rollover led to a car remaining upturned on Maraju-Yakapari Rd in Balnagowan, just over 20 kilometres west of Mackay.
Emergency services, including fire, ambulance, and police, all responded to a reports of a crash about 3.50pm.
It’s understood the car was found on its roof upon arrival, with Maraju-Yakapari Rd subsequently closed in both directions at the intersection with Tiger Moth Rd.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said one fire crew responded to the incident and was remaining on scene to assist with the recovery of the vehicle.
She confirmed the road was blocked to all traffic and police were diverting traffic.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said two patients were assessed by paramedics on scene and both declined transport to hospital.
The grey ute involved in the crash sustained serious damage, with the the body dented on all four sides, and was towed at 4.42pm.
The road was reopened to traffic in all directions at 4.46pm.
It’s not the first crash to have occurred along Maraju-Yakapari Rd road in the past fortnight, after a car was found washed up in a creek following a 4am crash near Farleigh.
