A crime scene has been declared after a house went up in flames at Berserker early Monday morning.
Multiple emergency services were called about 4am including eight fire crews, police and paramedics following reported a house was on fire at the corner of Burnett and Spike Streets.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said they received a call just after 4am about a two-storey timber house fully involved in fire. 8 crews attended the incident, with firemen working simultaneously to extinguish the house fire and protect nearby structures. The blaze was extinguished after 5am.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said everyone was out of the property by the time the fire took the house.
Initial indications suggested at one point the flames were close to powerlines, but crews were able to get the fire under control.
The QPS spokesman said a crime scene was declared about 5.30am and investigation was under way to determine if the blaze was suspicious or not.
