Emergency crews called to Mount Pelion after Bruce Hwy crash

The Bruce Highway has reopened near Mackay following a crash on Tuesday afternoon. It comes just hours after a 36-year-old man was killed in a horror highway truck crash further south at Rockhampton.

Both lanes of the Bruce Hwy have reopened at Mount Pelion in the Mackay region following a crash involving a car with a trailer.

Paramedics were called to the scene at around 4pm after reports of two cars, one of which is understood to have ended up off the roadside, colliding.

Both drivers were in stable conditions with minor injuries.

The crash comes just a day after a 36-year-old man was killed in a Bruce Hwy crash at Rockhampton.
