Dolphin Heads woman allegedly drunk drives, smashes pot plant in Eimeo
Police have alleged that a 62-year-old woman drunk drove her hatchback into a front yard at more than twice the legal alcohol limit, before becoming “belligerent” and throwing a pot plant at a front door.

A 62-year-old woman is now facing multiple charges after she allegedly drunk drove into a yard post at more than twice the legal blood alcohol limit.
A Dolphin Heads woman allegedly crashed in front of a home in Callan Court in Eimeo at about 9:50pm on January 30.
Police allege she then exited her Hyundai hatchback and “became belligerent towards those present, including throwing a pot plant at the front door of a home”.
“The female driver attempted to drive the vehicle away from the scene but instead has ended up on a residential front lawn and struck the front of a house,” police stated.
“Upon the arrival of police the female was arrested for allegedly failing to provide a specimen of breath for a roadside analysis.
“She was taken to the Mackay police station where following analysis her breath alcohol concentration was identified as .171%.”
She has been charged with driving while under the influence of liquor, failing to provide a specimen of breath at the roadside, failing to have proper control of the vehicle and obstructing police in the performance of their duties.
The woman will face Mackay Magistrates Court on February 19.
