Diesel spill stretching 50m on Peak Downs Highway at Moranbah

Motorists travelling on a major Central Queensland highway are being urged to practice caution as emergency crews deal with a hazard on the roadway.

Diversions are in place around a thin layer of diesel stretching across 50m of the Peak Downs Highway at Moranbah.

The section of the highway impacted is near Goonyella Rd and just before Peak Downs Mine Road.

Police have also been called to the scene and traffic diversions are in place.

Isaac Regional Council is also looking into the incident.
