RACQ CapRescue called out to Fitzroy Developmental Road crash

Two women in their early 20s were taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a Central Queensland crash. SEE THE VIDEO, PHOTOS

Emergency services and rescue crews attended a serious crash on the Fitzroy Developmental Road near Dingo.

The crash occurred before 5.30pm 40km north of Dingo on April 12.

It is understood the vehicle carrying two females in their 20s crashed into a ditch.

Three ambulance officers arrived on scene about 6.25pm.

The RACQ CapRescue Rescue 300 chopper was tasked to the job, leaving at 6pm.

The patients suffered multiple lower limb fractures and abdominal injuries.

“One of the patients with severe lower limb fractures was transported to the Rockhampton Hospital via QAS with the flight critical care paramedic and the most serious patient with abdominal injuries was stabilised by our on-board doctors and air transported to Rockhampton Hospital for further scans and treatment,” a spokesman for RACQ CapRescue said.

Queensland Police and Queensland Fire and Rescue were also called.
