As universities across the state begin to send out offers to potential students, thousands of students will discover if they have made the threshold for their dream course.
More than 15,000 offers were sent out across Queensland on Thursday, with nursing, arts and business among the most popular courses.
At CQUniversity, only ‘perfect’ students will be allowed to enrol in two of its courses, with the Bachelor of Medical Sonography and Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography, as well as the Bachelor of Echocardiography and Cardiac Physiology/Graduate Diploma of Echocardiography, requiring an ATAR result of 99.95.
The Bachelor of Oral Health is not far behind, with an ATAR score of 98.25 needed to attend CQUniversity to study the course.
James Cook University also has some lofty standards for its health science degrees, with a Bachelor of Advanced Sciences requiring an ATAR of 92.00.
To receive a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University, a student must receive an ATAR of 88.90.
James Cook University and CQUniversity both offer diplomas, with JCU’s business studies course requiring an ATAR of just 50.00.
If a student wanted to study law but only received an ATAR of 50.00, they could complete JCU’s Diploma of Higher Education (Business Studies) and Bachelor of Laws double degree.
An on-campus Bachelor of Business at CQUniversity requires an ATAR of 52.00.
