A list of medical centres is expected to contribute information towards a case against a Brisbane doctor charged with manslaughter.

Riverlink Medical Centre, National Home Doctor, Sonic HealthPlus, Bywater Medical Centre and Sullivan Nicolaides will provide reports for the matter levelled against Doctor Robyn Mary James, 63.

The medical centres are also expected to assist with information towards a coronial inquiry.

Dr James, of Brighton in Brisbane’s northern bayside, is charged with the 2017 manslaughter of a person in Ipswich.

She was charged with the offence in September last year and is currently on bail.

According to court documents, the manslaughter is alleged to have occurred between June 1 and December 28, 2017, in the suburb of Ipswich.

On October 26, 2022, Dr James was represented in Ipswich Magistrates Court by defence lawyer Michael Kelly, who appeared as town agent for Robertson O’Gorman Solicitors.

Mr Kelly told the court the defence was still waiting on outstanding material from the prosecution, including the reports from the medical centres expected to provide opinions for the coronial inquiry.

The court heard a paramedic‘s statement, medical records and Dr James’s laptop had already been disclosed to the defence.

The matter was adjourned to November 9 for further committal mention, and Dr James’s bail was enlarged.
