A young man has been flown to a Brisbane hospital after his vehicle rolled on a rural Darling Downs road.
It is understood the incident occurred around midnight along Millmerran Cecil Plains Rd, west of Toowoomba.
Queensland Ambulance paramedics treated a male in his 20s with life-threatening head injuries, who was later flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Paramedics were also called to the scene of an alleged assault in Toowoomba’s CBD on Sunday morning.
A male was assessed for a head injury and was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
Queensland Police were called to the incident in Bell St at around 12.30am, with initial investigations indicating there was a physical altercation between several people inside a venue.
Motorists faced delays on the Warrego Highway after a diesel spill forced the closure of an eastbound lane near Crowley Vale.
While details were scarce as of 12pm, it’s understood a diesel pod came off a truck near the intersection at Lockyer Valley Sheds about 11am Saturday.
Two Queensland Fire Department crews were working to clean up the spill.
A QFD spokeswoman said crews reported about 60 litres of diesel had split.
Crews are still on scene and are using a material to soak up the spill.
