Motorists faced delays on the Warrego Highway after a diesel spill forced the closure of an eastbound lane near Crowley Vale.

While details were scarce as of 12pm, it’s understood a diesel pod came off a truck near the intersection at Lockyer Valley Sheds about 11am Saturday.

Two Queensland Fire Department crews were working to clean up the spill.

A QFD spokeswoman said crews reported about 60 litres of diesel had split.

Crews are still on scene and are using a material to soak up the spill.
